Missing cat posters are a staple of street life across the UK and elsewhere.
So are the creatures that are declining in number, many of which we think of as familiar visitors in our gardens and streets. Like the European hedgehog. This crisis seems rather invisible.
I would like to honour also some of the creatures long gone. I feel a different sort of attachment than I do to a pet but it’s deep and real.
